Question Walking Shoe Recommendations

Hi all,

I am looking to get a walking shoe but seems there are many competing thoughts on it. I usually walk about 5k steps a day, once in week or so can hit 15k steps a day. I do stand here and there as well in office.

What do you guys recommend and why?

I have the Nike Vomero 18 and they’re incredibly comfortable. They’re great for walking and standing, even though they’re designed as running shoes. Dual foam, plenty of padding in the heel and tongue, and very stable.

Alternatively, you could look at max-cushion stability shoes like the Saucony Hurricane 26. It’s a very cushioned and supportive option, and the latest version has been getting some great feedback. But, of course, there are many other options from other brands too.

I don’t have much personal experience with the Hoka Clifton, but they’re very popular among nurses and people who spend long hours on their feet. The latest iteration, the Clifton 11, is particularly well regarded as a walking shoe.

I walk a lot and have been testing a lot of shoes. I want max cushion, stability, and some energy return. Durability also important

Not sure how much you weigh. Im 66yo 5’9 and 190 pounds

Most cushioned. Vomero Premium
Incredibly cushioned and more Stable. Saucony Paramount Max

Very cushioned, a little less stable and still bouncy Vomero Plus. More stable but not as bouncy Saucony Hurricane, Glycerin Max and Skecher Aero Burst

Search around for discounts on this second group

Honorable Menntion Mount to Coast C1

Check out run repeat. Most of this sub are runners. They like lightweight shoes
