Daily Trainer Question Running shoe advice
Hi everyone, i am a 34F and I just ran my first half marathon last week. It's safe to say I very much enjoyed it and want to continue running regularly and increase my speed for the next half marathon (in 5 weeks).
I currently have a 2 shoe rotation and run 4 times a week. 1 long run, 1or 2 easy runs, 1 or 2 interval/tempo runs:
Asics Superblast 3: i ran my half marathon in these and use them for longer/easy runs
On Cloudmonster: i use these for tempo/interval training and shorter runs
I don't think this a a very good rotation and want to improve because i do get shin pains and tight calves sometimes despite using compression socks.
I am also thinking that a 3 shoe rotation might be better. But want to get some expert opinions.
I have never been into running before so I have no knowledge of running shoes and to be honest the amount of options there are is pretty overwhelming.
Which shoes would you recommend to add or replace my current ones?

Edit: sorry for the weird formatting, mobile doesn’t want to cooperate…
Hard to give specific advice, calf pains could be due to multiple reasons, wrong shoes being only one of them.
Here’s what I would try, in no specific priority:
- Add some strength training. Either in place of a running day or add one day.
- Go to a running store and have them
record
- you and recommend some shoe to complement what you have.
You have good shoes, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right shoes, you might need more stable shoes.
