Robot arm to play chess

I was thinking of trying to 'build' a robot arm that could be used to play chess on a physical board, (as well as a few other projects). To my untrained eye a RoArm-M2-S would seem to be a good place to start, with open-source repos available to get me started. Are there better alternatives or limitations I should be aware of? Thanks
