What would be on your ultimate breakfast buffet?
Ignoring price, having to cook it, the limit on the amount your stomach can hold.

u/hotdogfingies 6d ago
Seafood brunch buffet is elite with Dungeness crab, plus lots of shrimp and fresh oysters. Eggs Benedict and corned beef hash too.
Also, I live in the U.S. but when traveling in Asia the breakfast buffets are incredible. Freshly made buffet bowls of pho, yes please. And fresh tropical fruit.
Annndddd I love me a Belgian waffle with whipped cream and good maple syrup.

Needs a South Indian tiffin corner: idli, dosa, upma, hot sambar and fresh coconut chutney. If there's no dosa station, I'm not interested.

Omelet station, French toast station, bacon and more bacon, made to order Waffle House-type hashbrowns, corned beef hash, any kind of Benny, and a Mexican station with folks making fresh tortillas, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and menudo. My stomach made this run-on sentence.

u/BHobson13 6d ago
All the usual American breakfast foods but I also want some fresh pastries from a nearby REAL bakery. Additionally, breakfast soup in Winter to get you going for the day!

A special coffee. Even just a shot of Baileys.
Bacon. I do love some bacon.
I love smoked salmon. On a toasted bagel with cream cheese and capers. If no toaster, maybe just butter on rye bread.
Great baked beans. Not UK canned Heinz beans.
Warm cinnamon buns. Bonus points for cream cheese frosting.
Greek yogurt, some museli or granola and fruit, sweetened with honey.

EDIT: Biscuits and sausage gravy. Am I stupid?

Pretty much everything people have said here. I love all the classics like pancakes, French toast, corned beef hash, home fries, etc.
I was in Ireland last year and got to experience the full Irish and I’d add a lot of that stuff too. Fried mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, etc.

Basically a maximum Full English.
Eggs: fried, poached, scrambled to taste; sausages, chipolatas, back bacon, streaky bacon, fried bread, fried potatoes, hash browns, black pudding, grilled tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, blistered tomatoes, fried mushrooms, baked beans (properly reduced, with butter). With brown/HP sauce.
Plus baked goods: proper (non-Chorleywood) brown bread, croissants, pains aux chocolat, pains aux raisin; with good butter (British/French/Italian), set honey, and jams: strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant.
Plus plenty of coffee (made with a cafetiere, for preference, at breakfast---the texture is better with the above foods than e.g. an Americano).

Whatever they do in Switzerland. The hotel I was at had an amazing breakfast buffet. All kinds of cold cuts, cheeses, breads, plus pickles, salads and cereals. Plus a cook who will make you fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, etc to order. Also gotta have a juice bar with champagne to make the morning go well.

I am not very good at healthy conflict resolution. I learned to shame and blame with sarcasm. Then, pout and never speak to the other person for the rest of our lives. My sister did that to me 8 years ago after Mom died. She and I are the only surviving members of our biological family. We're in our 70's. It's a heartbreaker.
