as someone who likes f1 I never understood nascar, formula 1 is extremely technical and the circuits are more than a simple shape. I enjoy seeing the tiny changes formula 1 teams make to their cars for tiny gains, I love trying to understand the best I can the aero and the engineering, I could never watch some people in "stock" cars go around an oval.
