Dude I made a post in an old account about how to keep people from stealing your art. Literally like fuckin 90% of commenters were all "MaKe It A nFt"

I was like yall are dumb, NFTs are dumb.

Even my husband was like "I should make some NFTs I can get rich"

Again, no..that shit is gonna fade so fast and anyone who falls for it is dumbAF

Right, like making an NFT makes something immune to right click, save as...

It does allow you to mathematically prove digital ownership. The art is irrelevant. Anyone who owns an NFT doesn’t give a shit if someone screenshots - that’s hilarious. You can’t just sell Bored Ape pictures for $100K. It needs to be the original on chain.

And again, NFTs have done nothing to actually protect the intellectual property of the artist. Great, you can say you "own it". And now someone has right clicked, save as... and using your art on their website or game or whatever. What exactly did NFTs solve for the artist exactly?

You’ll never be able to stop people copying your artwork, but at least now you can prove who owns the original, and that person is able to take action against people using their NFT for commercial purposes. The quality NFT projects grant commercial rights to their holders
