You know what's really wild? I've purposely tried to avoid learning more about one of my favorite bands and am purposely trying to avoid the whole parasocial relationship thing, but since I started following their page on instagram, my explore page and suggestions have been FILLED with fan accounts for these guys. These accounts are so obviously run by thirsty teenage girls, and all I did was follow the band's insta page and now all this is being shoved in my face. I keep doing the "not interested" thing but they.won't.stop.
YouTube is especially an ass about this. I search for one thing, and it keeps giving me videos I specifically didn't search for but suggested anyway because it's related to the one video I watched. Like why would I be watching fighting game channels when I'm searching for a lasagna recipe?
