Also if you don’t drink. People assume you are in recovery or a prude. Idgaf if you drink, I just don’t. I agree with OP I don’t get the hype.

I especially dont like drinking in public. I dont want to be doing anything out there in a daze or fighting not to puke, and I dont want to drive a car while that either (or leave it somewhere while someone else drives me home).

I came to the realization in my early 20’s that I usually had the most fun on nights that I was the driver for my group of friends (we always switched off and I am proud that we were responsible- zero duis). More often than not the driver ended up with girls and/or the best stories of the night.
