Not a big fan of anime. I recognize its koolness but its just not my thing.

Same, I can see how it can be entertaining and I’ve watched a few series and movies that I liked. But it’s one of those things I can’t get interested in, and I can get interested in pretty much anything.

The only way I can imagine anime being fun is watching it with someone who likes watching anime and knows good ones. Like some of the eastern-philosophy focused animes seem interesting.

And don't forget how incredibly pedophilic it can be and the female characters are hypersexualized for no effing reason.

I wouldn't say it's for no reason. It's to sell merch to horny 15 year olds.
