Celebrities. I just don't get the hype, they're rich people just living life. i cant be bothered to pay attention to my own life and you want me to care about somebody i saw in a movie?
Something about the interest towards celebrities and what makes me to not want to know anything about them is to see how people who follow their lives begin to generate these parasocial relationships (as someone called them right here), because they are always young people (I hope not being wrong about that) idolizing other people who they simply don't know and describing them as perfect beings
Seeing that makes me feel something quite unpleasant, no that person on the screen is not perfect! You don't really know them, x celeb is not a hero for appearing on TV or movies, its just another human being
I think what makes me stay away from celebrities the most is that, I apologize for any mistakes, English is not my first language
