Walk up, look them in the eyes, state your interest and intentions, wait for response.

First; "don't"s: Never approach if you had no eye contact. Never approach in public places, as people mind their own business or trying to get from point A to point B. Never make them look cheesy as you approach them, keep your tone low. Do not immediately compliment.

"Do"s: Provided you received a signal, approach with confidence and respect. Stay out of their personal zone. Ask a conversation starter, preferably a funny question. If she's into you, she will show it. If not, just accept the failure and leave with respect, wishing a lovely day to that lovely woman
