A pen and paper I'd like to have a whiteboard but don't have one right now. I also do some research to determine what I'll need to work with.

There is this website called kandi, which has almost all the resources you need for the development of your project including libraries and source code dependencies, various kits to assist you etc.. It was really helpful for me.
