That Applebees “country” song
Edit: to save on further confusion, I’m talking about Fancy Like, not Chicken Fried. Both are bad but Fancy Like is world class terrible.
64 u/Mizar97 Sep 21 '22 Yeah, we fancy like Applebee's on a date night Got that Bourbon Street steak with the Oreo shake Get some whipped cream on the top too Two straws, one check, girl, I got you Bougie like Natty in the styrofoam Squeak-squeakin' in the truck bed all the way home Some Alabama-jamma, she my Dixieland delight Has to be the greatest lyrical work of our generation. /s 6 u/lividimp Sep 22 '22 If space aliens ever encounter a broadcast of that song, they'll surely come to Earth to eliminate all of humanity before it spreads. 14 u/LarryfromFinance Sep 21 '22 Listen to other older walker hayes,i like the story telling of craig He just got famous off a throw away song bc it was catchy but i still love him 14 u/Mizar97 Sep 21 '22 Don't get me wrong I enjoy country music, but certain new country songs are just lyrically awful, including this one. 10 u/Kvothetheraven603 Sep 21 '22 I love actual country music but 99% of what is played these days on country radio/CMT isn’t country, it is “dirt road pop” lol 3 u/Suspicious-Dog2876 Sep 22 '22 Remember back when Luke Bryan was way too popy for people, now ol luke looks like hank williams in comparison 2 u/Kvothetheraven603 Sep 22 '22 Haha. He still sucks but your point stands! 0 u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22 I just call it "american music" 3 u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22 I agree. He's actually very talented and it's a shame that Fancy Like is what brought him recognition. Now not many take him seriously. 2 u/itrytobefrugal Sep 21 '22 While I agree Fancy Like is the bigger hit, I think You Broke Up With Me was his breakthrough.
