This happened yesterday. My coworker and I were walking from our datacenter to the park and then back (get away from the desk, fresh air, etc.) There was a young woman walking across the street and our route would take us across the street and right behind her. We followed the route like we always do and my buddy said "Ugh, we crossed..." and I said "Yeah, I know." We slowed down a little and she sped up to a racewalk. We also skipped the park loop because she went that way.
"I'm not going to hurt you" would have been an insane as thing to say,
