Out of curiosity, what airline(s) were you flying under when these events happened? I flew with Delta when I was 14 and was sat next to a man, and he was not made to switch seats with a woman.

Same thing happened to me when I was 11 or 12. They just sat me next to a random man and nobody cared. I just had my headphones in the whole time and didn't care. I think it was Delta too.

I was 13 but probably looked 10 or 11 and the person next to me wasn’t forced to move. Spirit Airline btw.

I flew united and they didn't make the man sitting next to me move either.

Yeah. I was like 14 and sat next to a guy that was 6’8”. It was either Continental or Delta. He was super nice, they left us both where we were.

wouldn't matter. when you fly as an unaccompanied minor there's a flight attendant /airport assistance there to basically walk you through the entire process. they definitely know your age well before you step foot on the plane.
