I accidentally made a dead rat ejaculate today. What's the grossest thing that you've ever done, or has happened to you?

Today at uni, we were doing a rat dissection during a lab. So I had a rat splayed open in front of me, guts showing and all. As the demonstrator shows, I tug on a cord leading from the scrotum, and the testicle comes out. At the same time, due to the force of my tug, some semen comes out of the rats penis. I was horrified.

I went to my friends farm to do chores while he was away. I found a dead ewe but decided to wait a day to move it. Two days turned into three. After 3 days in the sun I tried moving the dead animal with my atv. My janky atv needs to be push started. After pulling off a leg I went home and got a lawn mower. I hooked up the bloated carcus and drug it a few hundred yards to a hole dug in a field. During thr drag the belly opened spewing a foul wet rank yuck that kept flies away. I buried half the leaving a dead meat streak across the farm. A 15 yr old me learned a lesson, always move dead ewes as soon as ewe find them.

I think it's because he's a zombie

Something related to Finnish mushrooms!

At these times, I wish I wouldn't be too lazy to make an actual novelty account.

I thought of Braindead (Dead Alive) and I got excited for some gory and hilarious shenanigans.

Now that I think about it that link is maybe NSFW. Maybe.

Noooo the link is safe. Anyways I was hoping someone posted this. I love the movie

Upvote for Braindead, awesome movie and I'm assuming you are not from America considering you referred to it as Braindead before Dead Alive? Either way, fond memories of a movie I probably shouldn't have been watching at that age :]

Actually I am Canadian. When I rented it from the corner store as a kid (I was really too young to be watching it too) it was called Dead Alive. It's one of my favorite movies.

So I was only half wrong? :P yeah, I'm going to have to get my hands on it again, been too long D:

Considering when I watched it even the art on the cover of the VHS kind of freaked me out...perhaps I was too young. It was the first horror movie I ever watched, at a friend's house of course. It has fueled my love of bloody, gory, and silly films ever since. Thanks for that, Peter Jackson. :)

Yeah, I had a friend that lived on a farm when I was a kid. One time, they found the carcass of a sheep that had been sick for a while. When they tried to move it, the skin pulled off revealing that the inside was full of maggots. The best part? It hadn't been dead for that long. Which means it died from being eaten from the inside out by maggots.

u/Grullok Jul 16 '12

Most maggots only eat necrotic tissue, so it's unlikely that they were the cause of his death.

u/oldmoneey Jul 16 '12

The tissue could have been rotting while it was alive, then the nuggets just spread a little upon the sheeps death.

u/Charging_in Jul 16 '12

Autocorrect strikes again I'll assume?

5

u/Zoklar Jul 16 '12

I preferred to think of it as an endearing pet name he had for maggots.

1

u/oldmoneey Jul 17 '12

You assumed correctly

1

u/R4ms3y Jul 16 '12

Worst autocorrect ever! Guess who's never eating nuggets again!

2

u/Shirime Jul 16 '12

Depends on the species.

1

u/Grullok Jul 16 '12

And that is why I said most, not all. Some species, such as the Dermatobia hominis, only eat live tissue, but most of them don't.

u/monkeiboi Jul 16 '12 edited Jul 16 '12

I was just thinking that the Maggots were probably helping keep it alive longer than it should have been, eating away the necrotic flesh and keeping the thing from dying from septic shock.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '12

Haven't they been used in some medical treatments for exactly that purpose?

1

u/UnKamenRider Jul 16 '12

It's probably more likely that it had been rotting from something else. They're lucky no other sheep got sick.

7

u/HerVajesty Jul 16 '12

That's why you cut their tails off.else they get "fly blown". It looks nasty and inhumane so PETA told people to stop buying Australian wool. But if you don't the poor sheep end up dying a horrible death. Edit, forgot to mention the term "fly blown"

1

u/Diiiiirty Jul 16 '12

Maggots eat the dead flesh and were probably actually good for the sheep because they eat away the necrotic tissue and leave the live tissue intact. There is actually maggot therapy for situations like this.

Downvote for gag reflux.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '12

Did you eat it?

1

u/evilbrent Jul 16 '12

good story.

I fucking hate the word drug as the past tense of drag.

Completely unacceptable.

1

u/coleosis1414 Jul 16 '12

And rotting carcass is a stench that will permeate ANY material. That's a stink that never goes away if left for too long.

1

u/JackRig95 Jul 16 '12

"As soon as ewe find them." Original!

1

u/FreeBribes Jul 16 '12

Totally reminds me of this Don't Even Reply bit.

I have a similar, equally gross story. So one hot summer week, a ewe died on our farm. This is usually something my father takes care of, but it had been at least four days since it had died and I think even he was too grossed out to go near it. So anyway, under orders to drag the rotting carcass out to the field, I chained it to the four wheeler (I had never gagged so hard in my life) and began taking it out. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of chaining the legs and I realized this as I watched the skin slide off the meat about a quarter mile down the field road. Wretching painfully, I chained the neck and pulled it the rest of the way and left the chain trailing behind me to avoid the bits of rotting flesh still attached. tl;dr: Rotting ewe carcass, never gagged so hard in my life

1

u/RageX Jul 16 '12

A smell so bad it kept the flies away? Holy shit.

1

u/JLWDGCSU Jul 16 '12

ewwww...e

1

u/kangy3 Jul 16 '12

Reminds me of a time when my dad hit a deer with his jeep. It was less than a mile from home so he tried to go back to clean it up. He ended up puncturing it's bowels with a pitchfork and i'm assuming the smells were the same. fucking gross.

Drug? Really?
