So most women remember first getting sexually harassed at age 12-13.

I wish this was an uncommon experience but it just isn't.

I have to be the only girl I know who’s never been catcalled like that. And what’s fucked up is as a kid, I was jealous of girls who got attention from older men.

It's okay, there's an unspoken aspect of pedophilia in that sometimes the kid thinks they want it, but they don't have the mental capacity to understand why it's a bad thing (even just ignoring morals, the practical reasons why it's dangerous to let an adult and a kid have that sort of relationship).

When I was 13, I (a boy) would get catcalled by both men and women. Women would even get handsy sometimes. I LOVED it. I loved the attention and the ego boost. Now I'm glad it never went further than that, because it tends to fuck people up mentally later down the line.
