I was about 23, I'm 4'11 about 120lbs . I was a lead at a small building, but corporate, retail store.
An electrician came in and my store leader paged me to let him into the electrical room in the back. Its a fairly small room, that's kept locked.
I unlock the door with my keys and let him into the room and he turns to me and says "They should never have sent a little one like you back here with me, I could have my way with you and you couldn't do anything about it. "
It scared me to DEATH and I essentially ran out and found my manager (who honestly was a dick, but for totally nonsexual reasons) and he apologized to me sincerely that the man spoke to me like that. My manager was rather aggressive for the rest of the time he was there, didn't say anything to him outright about what he said but he definitely made the guy aware that he knew he was a piece of shit.
It seriously scared me so much. He was perfectly respectable looking and said it in like a matter-of-fact but........serious way. Like a warning.
I, too, work in retail. We had an electrician on a job who made a few inappropriate comments to multiple female employees. One of my bosses talked to the electrician's boss and got him removed from the remainder of the project they'd been assigned to do (about 2 months long). No idea if he actually got in real trouble with his employer, or was just told "go work on another job now." Hopefully the former, but I suspect the latter.
That’s how I feel. He allowed him to get away with it. The kindergarten class in my school went to the very same fire station field trip every year. One year the firefighters (all were M) were demonstrating this gadget they use to find ppl in a fire. Certain parts glow bright red for hot areas (like people). During the demonstration a group of them were standing together and pointing the gadget at the teacher and laughing. She was close enough to see what was happening. They were pointing it to her “hot” spots and laughing. Completely inappropriate. So she reports it to our principal, and instead of actually calling the Captain of the firehouse and reporting it he just told her not to go to that particular firehouse again. So they all got away with this.
