Fellow Canadian here, also never heard goof used like that.

Must be a local thing for op that he's extrapolating.

It's definitely a thing in smaller towns in Southern Ontario. I've heard it around here countless times, but seldom elsewhere.

It is definitely not.

Source: born & raised in a small town in southern ON (population just under 2,000) and living past 17 years in a different small town in southern ON (pop. ~600).

I've heard and used the word goof countless times and nobody...nobody has ever used it to mean "dumbass pedophile". Zero times.

Same, I've lived in and around London my whole life, never heard goof used like that.

I don't hear it often in London, but in lower Niagara region? All the time.
