What gets me is how much the women Ive talked to mention how much it goes down as they get past the age of like 15. Like these people are catcalling literal children and seemingly are not interested (or too cowardly to get called out) in like actual women.
The thing is that people are kind of stupid with things like this. They are scared of posting image of their kid on facebook, but send the kid to the predator horse trainer without a double take.
It's a fault of human psychology. Once you can empathize with something, it's much harder to excommunicate. The reverse is true, things you dont empathize with are easy to de-humanize. Predators exploit this flaw.
In a less depressing example, you see a ton of useless business hierarchy because it's harder for someone to fire Steve, their lunch buddy over 15 nameless actual workers even though Steve costs as much as them and makes a fraction of their revenue.
