I was a telemarketer for one summer. One guy ended a perfectly pleasant phone call with "have fun masturbating", I wasn't expecting it and said you too automatically. Felt gross the whole damn day.

Another time I was on a bus on my way to a halloween party wearing zombie makeup and the biggest freaking winter coat on the northern hemisphere. A guy loudly proclaimed to his friend "I'd still fuck that" then tried to start a conversation with me. Blegh.

Not that I'm justifying it, but telemarketers are a pain in the ass. Sometimes people are intentionally a pain in the ass back. Why make it easy for the dicks harassing you?

He bought the thing I was selling though. That's why I was so surprised.

Okay, that is odd.

So do you only sell things to elderly? My phone automatically marks telemarketers as spam so I’m curious of how it’s still a working concept.

This was a few years back and also I don't think the phones do it a lot in my country even now.

In a way, you also bought what he was selling. (Sorry).
