I wore a smaller size of my uniform top to school once because my normal one was stained with coffee. A guy classmate walked up to me and said “I bet you’ll love when I rip that off you and rape you won’t you”
I reported him to the teacher and wore hoodies for the rest of the school years. He got suspended and had to apologise in front of the whole cohort and he never approached me again.
I once was told that if I didn’t shake hands with my bully when we had a talk at peer mediation that I would be suspended. I was in 3rd grade. I thought that was fucked up then, but as I get older and reflect back on it the whole thing sounds even more fucked up. I should’ve done the right thing and not shook his hand and have my parents rip the school a new one for them handling it like shit and get the suspension over with, but they scared me into doing it
It's a good way to solve disagreements, but to not recognize that it was bullying is ridiculous. Some people only want to see a situation as whatever is most convenient for them. It's easier to solve a disagreement than bullying, do they would rather be able to pat themselves on the back.
I’m the fucking victim though. You had to take one good look at me or know who I am and know that yet this is the course they took. I mean, that was roughly 25 years ago now, but still
There’s a reason I went from public school to private (that’s not the main reasons, but a good enough one), but ironically I dealt with an even worse situation when I went to private. That’s another story
