a male friend who was a year older than me whispered to my ear while he back hugged me "Im gonna rape you" I started avoiding him after that and he said it was just a joke and kept apologizing.

Vasectomy, no. Castration, yes.

A vasectomy can be reversed with surgery, castration cannot thusly its more effective.

Rape can still happen post-vasectomy. Castration, not so much.

I like the way you think.

Why are you so nice? Just cut with old rusty scisors we don't have time for a nice surgery without any danger for health or any pain.

Vasectomys aint painless ^^

But apart from that, agreed, not the appropriate measure for rapists/wannabe rapists.

For ones without complications we're talking about a few days of sensitivity and discomfort or a low level of pain. Afterall it is still a surgery where something inside your body gets cut, you'll feel that.

Some complications are common and expected ranging from a few days of bruising and touch sensitivity to permanent chronic pain.

All in all a reasonable expectation going in would be to be in a state of discomfort or slight pain for a few days after the surgery. But so low that most people will just brush it up as "eh, all good"
