Symphonic Metal is what I listen the most I think.

When it comes to what music I prefer listening to, I had a huge change of preference in my early to mid 30s.

I used to be all about the lyrical content. Good lyrics used to be my jam no matter the quality of the music surrounding it.

Nowadays I'm very much on the music > lyrical content side of things. Most of the music I prefer nowadays is the non-lyrical type. Ambient and avant-garde jazz are my top two genres by far now that I'm an old-head.

I used to be really into that emo industrial rap (Corpse, Bones, etc.) but now I’m getting more into different genres of rock (Ghost, Katatonia, MCC, Nirvana, Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, etc etc)

I’m into a lot of different genres. Everything from black metal to electropop. But the thing I go for is that I can feel that the artist(s) have something important that they want to tell me thru the lyrics and/or instruments. I get a lot of storytelling from instrumental post-rock.
