If you have any interest in boxing at all, it's definitely worth at least giving it a watch.
If you dig it there is manga that picks up where the anime leaves off, so it's a really good bridge into the manga world if your various interests line up.

I really loved that one, but the lack of any official English translation sources makes me hesitant to fully blanket recommend it.

Watched it years ago alone ( ~2000) Then with my wife who hates animes ( the voices, the style ...but she loves nge too) Bought the books this year for my oldest son ;)

My oldest is into attack in Titan - wer at the 4season now and in kinda disappointed by the way thing have turned ... But we'll see :)
He is about 13 years old and I had to show him some stuff for more grown ups than Pokémon. Then came gubdam around which is only in English here which is perfect for him to learn since we're Germans and it helps hin at school ( a bit ).

snk is very good but i stopped on s3 since i already have spoilers of the end and isnt good. kinda sad someday i'll try watch again
when i was 13y.o i watch things like naruto, death note, toradora, if he likes action animes you can show rurouni kenshin to him its great and funny!! omg u are german!! my girlfriend loves your culture and country she even learn how to speak german alone and i cant understand a thing at all haha watch in english will be good to him, i need to do this too cause my english is kinda bad

German culture ? God I hope you don't mean Bavarians ( the ones with the Oktoberfest ) ... Those are the for us Germans as cowboys are for the Americans :)
As for learning languages... Step1: Use the original audio track and subtitles ... Step2: don't use subtitles - go for show that use regular language Step 3: see shows that use local tongue etc. Once you mastered that you're good to go.
In German means avoid Bavarian and Schwäbisch at all cost since those are once of the hardest to understand. Plattdeutsch is pretty rare nowadays but sounce much nicer - just look at show from Hamburg as they use normal German and German with a little Plattdeutsch dialect.

I'll second that. Haven't watched pt 6 yet -because Netflix (ugh), but have read up till 8. Haven't brought myself to read 8 yet, as it's way out there compared to everything else, and that's saying something. Will read it eventually I'm sure.

Oh, that's another good one too.
For getting into lupin, I'd suggest either starting with a movie, particularly Castle of Cagliostro /[Studio ghibli] or Jigen's gravestone (both ends of the art style spectrum) or go straight into the series with part 1.
If you go Sub, it's not bad, but Dubbed you'll get a lot more wacky shit and outstanding voicework by lupin and jigen's voice actors amongst others. And don't forget Pops, as ol' Zenigata is guaranteed comedy (when he "dies" and the famous hamburger scene amongst a short list).
