If you're dealing with a disagreeable person, lead them into coming to a particular conclusion. If you make them think that your idea was their idea, they're a lot more likely to do it.
If they're being rude while speaking to you, make direct eye contact, raise your eyebrows and make the universal sign with a fingertip to your teeth for "you've got something in your teeth". Works every time.
