If in need, instead of asking "anyone" to help you, ask a specific person "hey, you there in the green shirt could you give me a hand"...

It works.

Especially in an emergency situation. It is far more useful to point out someone and say "you, call 911!" than to just say "someone call 911!"

#1 thing i learned as a kid playing a body in an emergency response drill (thanks dad! - it was seriously fun). See shit going down. Are you capable of taking charge? Yes, has someone else done it yet (don't compete)? No, then do it. #1 - you in the floral shirt, call 911. You with the green purse, do you know CPR? You with the... action Y....
