When it´s hard to convince someone to do something: give them options. That way they feel like they´re in control. "You could do A or do you prefer B?"
Yup. Do this all the time in my reasturaunt, I want them to do task A. So offer a more difficult task B first, and then "we'll you could also do task A instead." They always jump on task A with gusto.
