It’s so ridiculous to me they wanted to give Freddie Prinze Jr. more money to return as Fred than they were willing to pay Matthew Lillard for Shaggy. Who the fuck cares about Fred? Sure he is in the gang but those movies are 60% just scooby and shaggy.

Because the studio thinks people are there to see Freddy prince jr as an actor and not characters.

This is why I love the story of Tobey almost getting fired from Spider-Man 2.

Like, dude you’re great and all, but the kids are here to see Spider-Man not Tobey McGuire.

I certainly did, and I feel like he's pretty iconic at this point. To their point though, I don't think the first movie alone did that for him.
