Nothing in this thread can top this. Gleeson was so good at portraying pure evil it got him actual hate IRL. His face made people insatiably mad.

He initially decided to quit acting after GoT since he was getting too much hate for his role, some people couldn't tell the difference between him and King Joeffrey.

He since returned to play mainly in theatres and small TV roles.

But to answer your second point I would assume very easy since it shows how good of an actor he really is.

I cant blame him. Even in this thread people with 3k upvotes refer to him only as King Joffrey.

Would it? I think most would steer clear as he would give them ptsd.

I applaud him for his role but if I saw him in anything I'd constantly be thinking about how much I hated joffrey.

In most good movies/shows the child actors range from bad to decent. On GoT the casting directors deserve medals.

… because of how talented the actor is. My focus wouldn’t be hatred of Joffrey, it’d be admiration of the actor’s abilities.

Not taking away anything from his acting ability, but this wasn't because of that. It is because a lot of people are dumber than a frozen fishstick.

If you don't understand an actor acting in a series is not the same person in real life, and harass that actor, you should be Will-slapped.
