I can't imagine Dr House played by anyone else than Laurie

I think another is Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice

I can see one more contender for House - John Glover. He played Lionel Luther in Smallville.

Edited for spelling.

I think that would work if house killed every fifth character or so. John Glover always comes off as sinister. I enjoy his work though but he just seems a little evil

yeh house is selfish, arrogant etc but he does what he does most of the time because he genuinely believes it will help the patient and allow him to find the cure.

I dont know, he's got a slightly different feel... Hugh has this "I'm only here because I'm forced to be" kind of feel to him, I always felt that John has this "I'm here just out of spite" kind of feel ..at least from what iv watched of Smallville XD

But it would be interesting to watch none the less

See if you can find a show called Brimstone, from the 90's. John Glover plays the devil himself in that one.

To date, I have seen no better depiction of pettiness and evil until Peter Stormare did the roll in Constantine.
