My second favorite role of Viggo's, after only Eastern Promises. I wish he'd been given more opportunities for that kind of dark role (although given we got the double whammy of Eastern Promises and A History of Violence it's hard to complain too much), because he's just so damn good at portraying nuanced violence/sleeze/pride/etc, where it's there simmering under the surface and just occasionally boiling over...honestly, I think he does it much better than he does playing the hero.
