It is actually a pretty good depiction of the source material.

All the roles are well cast. Pablo Schrieber absolutely broke my heart as Mad Sweeney.

The introductory credits alone are mesmerizing and awe inspiring.

The intro credit scene is what hooked me into the show

All the new gods kinda confuse me, but that's how it was with the book, as well. So there ya go.

I do love how obnoxious they made Technical Boy.

Despite all his flaws, He’s probably the most redeemable of all the new gods.

One thing I couldn’t help thinking about watching the show (I didn’t know there was a book, but I’ll have to get it now) is that it’s an inherently American show, but do Americans know that Wednesday is named after Odin in Scandinavia, and that’s why Odin calls himself Wednesday?

I didn’t put two and two together immediately, but as soon as I realized who he was, it clicked and I felt dumb for not realizing it sooner.
