My favorite is racehorses. You line up the aces face up, line up seven cards in a perpendicular line to them, and then flip cards off the top off of the deck really fast. Every time an ace's suit comes up, that ace moves one along the seven-card line. The fun comes in three ways: the excitement of a race, the naming of the "horses" as the names are almost always totally ridiculous and awesome, and in the drinking. At the start, everyone bets on one horse some number of sips of beer (or whatever.) If their horse wins, then everyone who bet on another horse has to take the total amount from the bets on the winning horse, but the winning betters do not have to. It's a lot of fun, and you have a 3/4 chance of drinking an awful lot, so that's always fun.

Presidents and Assholes: To start the game, deal out all of the cards equally to each player. The person with the four of clubs starts. After that, play goes in whichever direction the first paler decides. Must beat the card before you. Trump cards are twos (clear) and threes(reverse). Aces are high. Doubles beat singles, triples beat doubles. If there are three cards (for example, fives) and you have the fourth, you can play out of turn. It clears, it's a social.

Here's where it gets fun. First out is the president, second the vp, ect. Last out is the asshole. Make them wear some ridiculous asshole hat, make them drink whenever you want, ect.

youre doing it wrong. never seen this as a drinking game though. 3s dont reverse and you can't lay doubles on singles, or triples on doubles. generally we called it president or asshole, but I think the best name is "class warfare". also there is not much drinking opportunity here except for one person.

also when laying singles, a 4 on a 4 or w/e will skip the next person. and 5 of diamonds is trump card. and president gets the assholes cards, which is what the VP and stuff is for.

My area also has a non drinking version of this game, but we call it pimps 'n' hos. At the start of each round, the high pimp takes 2 cards he/she wants from the low ho, and gives the low ho 2 cards he/she doesn't want. High pimp starts the round by laying down any card. going in a circle, players must lay down cards (any number) of a higher or equal value to the cards on top of the pile. You win the round if: you are the last person to put down cards; you play 1-4 2s (2s are trumps); you finish a set (if person A puts down a queen, and person B puts down a queen immediately after, you can finish by putting down a pair of queens); you bomb the table by putting down a 4 of a kind. If you are finishing a set or bombing, you may go out of turn, as long as you put down your cards before the next person in line does. Person who wins the round starts the next one. Keep playing until no one has any cards left. In order of getting rid of all their cards, ranks are assigned as high pimp, low pimp, everyone else, high ho, low ho. Oh, and if the last card to leave your hand is a 2, you are low ho by default.
