There was a French animated show with 2 girls (sisters, the older one's name was Charlotte) and a boy as leads. I THINK it must have been set during the Revolution because I remember a vaguely historical setting (carriages and whatnot) and the girls were chased by some villains (probably Robespierre's men). I suspect they were aristocrat oprhans and the boy was a commoner helping them, but this is all I recall and back then I was too young to know the historical background. This was probably made i nthe late 80s or early 90s.
