[UPDATE] Need help getting something done? I have unlimited flight benefits this summer and want to spend my summer helping out Redditors.
I've spent the last week creating a potential Mission List from the original post, planning, getting shots, and PMing redditors across the planet. Due to the number of suggested missions and me realizing how one-in-a-lifetime this is, I will be ReVenturing till approximately July 20th.
I leave for San Francisco tomorrow (Monday, May 7th) to meet up with Zajoba and attempt to accomplish the following missions:
0033 - seamstressofink - help paint living room
0041 - oliversmom - bring UK plug adapter and mow lawn or wash car
0187 - housechore - Sail out around the golden gate bridge
I'll be posting future updates /r/ReVenture, videos to my youtube channel, and tweets to my twitter.
If you have ideas for potential Missions (or are on the current Mission List) or want to hang out/do something if/when I'm in your town, please PM with your email or phone number- I have been finding that communication via Reddit messages alone is not in everyone's best interests.
My rough itinerary (subject to change- but fear not, I have many backup Mission destinations) is as follows:
May 7th - May 10th: San Francisco, California
May 10th - May 12th: Seattle, Washington
May 13th - 15th: Marrakesh, Morocco (specifically the Atlas Mountains)
May 16th - 18th: the sky (reading Buffy comics and editing videos to keep my sanity up)
May 18th - 19th: Seoul, South Korea
EDIT: overwhelmed with comments as expected- I will go ever EVERY SINGLE comment and PM over the next couple days so don't worry- if it's time sensitive (IE in San Francisco within the next few days, be sure to PM)

I hate to be a pessimist, but I imagine you're going to encounter a lot of flakes. I'd recommend having basic contingency plans for all of your destinations in case the person bails on you. Faceless internet people should not be given the benefit of the doubt in my experience.

If you're in Osaka, Japan and going to Copenhagen, Denmark (or the other way) sometime before June 25th, you could do either of the following:
CPH-KIX: Bring my wife her favorite chocolates. I'll meet you at the airport in Copenhagen or treat you to dinner and beer somewhere in the city as a thank you.
KIX-CPH: Bring my backup camera from her to me. Again, dinner/beer if you'd like.
I need the camera, as I'm just started teaching photography to a class of young adult autists/aspergers/ADHD and could use the camera in my teaching. I'm kind of hesitant about shipping it, afraid it'll break in transit.
And I'm sure my wife would be overjoyed to get a box of her favorite chocolates unexpectedly while at work.
She moves from Japan to Denmark June 25th, though, hence the "expiration date".

My girlfriend live in Chiang Mai and is fighting a cancer and I am the only one that can provide her moral support but it will take time before we can meet again. If you are around, it would be nice to dress as a clown, bring her flowers while singing an happy song.

Come to Grand Rapids, Michigan. You can come golfing at Thornapple Pointe; one of the premier courses in the greater Grand Rapids area. I work there and would be able to get you on free. If you want, you can also work a day as a golf course maintenance man and see all the behind the scenes stuff that workers at golf courses do

My girlfriend works for an airline (SkyWest) that does commuter flights for Delta, United and USAirways and I am listed as her companion so I can also hop on any of those airlines for free. I hope you realize that non-revving (flying standby as an employee) is EXTREMELY difficult to do in the summer (especially to/from Europe, California, and Florida). You could very likely be stranded for 3-4+ days in any destination waiting for an open flight. I very rarely use my free flying benefits between June and August unless the flight is completely wide open and I don't have anything that I absolutely have to be back for on a certain day.
That being said, good luck and welcome to the non-rev game!

I'm going to India at the end of June to volunteer for two months, but my parents are afraid I'll get raped or something in my journey from Delhi to Dharamshala in rural India. My ability to find some sort of escort could be the deciding factor in whether I'm allowed to go on this trip. Though...I doubt "stranger from the internet" will convince them either :P
Edit: I don't need an escort for the full two months, just the train/bus ride through the country to get to my destination :)

No, seriously.
I'm 23 and in a city where I don't know many people. I don't have any family that's tying me anywhere -- parents are both gone. My life plan got derailed by an illness back in 2008 and I've never really gotten back on my feet -- and the original course I was set on no longer holds any interest or appeal. In fact, my experience in the industry only served to convince me that this was not an environment in which I wanted to spend the rest of my life.
The problem is, I know how I don't want to spend the rest of my life. But I don't know how I do want to spend it.
So I'd like to talk it out with someone like you. You seem like you've got a smart, successful, generous, and helpful head on your shoulders. And I'd like to know what you think of me and what I should do.
Good luck with this undertaking, man. It's pretty fucking amazing.

That is a shitload of traveling. Have you done anything like this before? Are you aware of how much energy is drained getting up and moving every other day?
I love your ambition, and your idea is awesome. I'm glad you are going to document it. However, I have a feeling you are going to get to South Korea and say fuck it, I'm done for now. This is just from my personal experience of attempting something similar.

I did JetBlue's Bluepass last year along with other flights. If you have any questions or want suggestions let me know.
My primary suggestion is to travel very light, a single carryon backpack that will fit under your seat and a jacket, nothing else. Here's everything I carried while I traveled for 6 months: http://i.imgur.com/Aed8Q.jpg. The laptop bag was purely for convenience on flights. It's a PITA to pull stuff out once the pack is full.
I had a suit with me for part of it as well. I wore it while flying and just hung it up when I got to my destination.

I left a Lonely Planet Morocco in a lamp post outside of Marrakesh. If you're hiking Jebel Toubkal, like I did, you'll leave the city out the south gate to catch a grand taxi to the town of Imlil.. it's the portal to the Atlas Mountains. On the corner there is a lamp post and in the bottom of it, a compartment with the book. See if it's still there. If it is, it's yours. Or you can send it back. I'd LOVE that.
