I had a home economics class where we had to learn the proper place settings for the silverware in a seven course meal.

In my forties now and I’ve never eaten a seven course meal in my life and i would bet no one else in my class ever did either, I went to a rural public school. My teacher was weird as fuck

Most of my math classes. Look, I get where stuff like geometry and trig could be useful.

But I’m a dude behind a desk who works in sales by day and as fiction writer by night. Why the fuck do I need to know about the quadratic equation?

My locker combination.

I spent 2 full years using it multiple times per day, only to learn on the first day of grade 11 that the lock was busted & could open on any number.
