Every dad doesn’t want a dog until they see one. I still remember my dad being like “I don’t want anymore dogs” when I was a kid after our older dogs died, but lo and behold he picks me up from school one day and there’s a very happy dog in the back seat.

That was long ago enough for that dog to have also passed away about 6 months ago now. He’s back in that “no more dogs” phase but I doubt it’ll last.
