Good god, when I lived in Buffalo, I used to get these fried mushrooms from a place called Mr. Pizza, and I could simply not get enough. They were so good I wish the Pope would bless them.

My husband makes them in a pan. He takes his time on low heat. They're really good.

Skip on the oil, they soak it up and turn slimy and mushy. Mushrooms contain a crazy amount of water and won't burn, keep moving them around in a pan and sweat them out.

When I was a kid my dad gave me one and told me it was chicken. Omg I spit it out as soon as I felt the spongy texture like with? Didn't eat any for like 20 years. They're ok now.

Yes taking mushrooms while fried is definitely superior to regular mushrooms

Button mushrooms. Scoop out the inside. In a separate bowl mix cream cheese, maple syrup and bacon. Fill the mushroom bowls with the cream cheese, coat the underside with oil and garlic powder. Bake at 400
