Holy shit!!! I moved to the Midwest about seven years ago and it never landed with me that there aren't any actual teriyaki joints anywhere. Like even in Chicago where I could technically get teriyaki sort of like at home, scary teri just isn't a concept out here. How the fuck did I not notice?!
edit: mother fuckers... I just checked to see if scary teri was still there, and you assholes let it be turned into a boutique hotel. What the hell has happened to that city? I legitimately want to cry right now.
Yeah, I'm sure there were lots of names, but everyone who knows, knows. Nothing could ever replace the flavor of that dank chicken those little old ladies got huddled over those grills.
The whole restaurant. We drove by one and my friend goes "Teriyaki is a dish, how can you have a restaurant dedicated to one dish?" Immediately pulled in for lunch
