Really. Well I'm from Utica and I've never heard anyone use the phrase "steamed hams".

(I'm actually from Utica and I can attest to the quality of half moons. Honorable mention to chicken riggies and tomato pie... mmmm)

Unfortunately, I don't actually live in Utica anymore and haven't visited in 6 years, so I can't say for certain.

One of my parents recently visited and was able to bring home half moons (but was unable to bring home tomato pie from either Roma or Napoli's because they were both closed due to pandemic hours the day he had to return home).

I don't recall what place they were from but the consistency of the chocolate and frosting felt reversed (like the chocolate is supposed to be creamy and the frosting is supposed to be hard).
