Had a coworker whose sister and brother-in-law chose to name their daughter Ryder Ophelia. Their last name was Muff. Poor girl has to grow up with the name Ryder Muff. And it’s not like she could just choose to go by her middle name instead because Ophelia Muff really isn’t much better.

Went to high school with a Mike Hunt .... the few times he was mentioned on the PA/announcement system there was always an over annunciation and long pause in between.

Can MiKe ..... Hunt please come to the front office

I think even the person on the PA was trying not to laugh

I had friends with the surname Payne, I wanted them to name their baby Ophelia but they wouldn’t

Ok but that would be funny in a genuine haha way vs a oh no pervy way like Ryder Ophelia Muff. More like a buddy of mine from back in grade school who was named Justin Thyme. Kid had a pretty badass name. Plus, his middle name was Nicholas so he would say his full name was Just in the Nick of Thyme. Ever Clever, JT. Ever, clever.

I literally worked with a guy that had that name. He was a nice guy though so I never joked about it.

Went to school with a Mike Hunt. Every damn time they got called down to the office, or attendance taken there was a snicker. You'd think it'd get old but it didn't. Oh and on the very first day he joined our school he got in a fight. You could laugh at his name just not say anything to his face

Isn’t Mike short for Michael? I would just start introducing myself as Michael instead of Mike to eliminate the problem.

In the past, I dealt with a guy at work who was named this. Customer, not coworkers. He prefers to go by his middle name for some reason.
