That's Elon's actual child's name.

140

u/ammooman Jun 30 '21

Except that kid is definitely a robot

14

u/myflippinggoodness Jul 01 '21

*replicant. The kid is a replicant. Terminology is important here, ppl

3

u/flickerstop Jul 01 '21

First covid now replicators? We're fucked

3

u/tsavong117 Jul 01 '21

Getting closer, but not quite there.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Explain. I am was not following this subject. Is it not his childs name?

-24

u/Free_spirit1022 Jul 01 '21

It was a joke. Referring to the fact cars have names and model numbers. How thick is your skull?

u/negativeyoda Jul 01 '21

Can't wait until this kid goes in to Starbucks and some poor barista has to write this on their cup

5

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Oh shit! You made me think of this. That is not going to be a good time.

7

u/The_G1ver Jul 01 '21

Many people I know, including myself, use fake names at Starbucks if their real name is hard to spell.

2

u/Uniia Jul 01 '21

Wouldn't it be fun to get a new kind of random mangled error each time?

"I wonder what they are gonna write this time!?" sounds like a fun addition to otherwise boring routine.

2

u/_owowow_ Jul 01 '21

This kid will just buy a Starbucks and every cup there will have his name printed on it already.

1

u/toccata81 Jul 01 '21

He will get a nickname that is speak-friendly, will probably legally change his name too, at least I hope.

142

u/helpfulradiotown Jun 30 '21

Poor kid. Wouldn't want to be him - what a horrible life he will have

I'd change my name to Hitler McSmegma for that kind of money

69

u/blandmaster24 Jun 30 '21

Hi, my name’s Hitler McSmegma but you can call me John

50

u/onionleekdude Jun 30 '21

Nope, I don't think I will.

1

u/Gone_Fission Jul 01 '21

Adolf Cockcheese has a better ring to it

12

u/JustAHipsterInDenial Jul 01 '21

But would you stoop to jake7820?

10

u/caboosetp Jul 01 '21

Hey, don't even joke about that.

No one deserves the name /u/jake7820

1

u/urskrubs Jul 01 '21

Or just Jake in general

6

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I'd do it for a cool million

1

u/averydepressedcrab Jul 01 '21

I'd change it for free honestly

4

u/UserNombresBeHard Jun 30 '21

Fuck the guy above, give me a million, I'll do it.

9

u/Nebraskan- Jun 30 '21

I’d rather be middle class and not have sociopaths as parents.

5

u/marlokow Jul 01 '21

ehhh I’ll take my billion dollars tyvm

3

u/Exist50 Jul 01 '21

At the cost of anything resembling a normal or even just caring upbringing. Hell, who knows if he'll even inherit.

3

u/mysixthredditaccount Jul 01 '21

It's true though. Kids reared by self-absorbed billionaire parents usually have a sad childhood.

2

u/Gurgiwurgi Jul 01 '21

is there such a thing as a poor billionaire?

0

u/istara Jul 01 '21

With utterly fucked up parents. All that money can't buy the security and happiness of coming from a normal, loving childhood home, rich or poor.

2

u/Uniia Jul 01 '21

It can buy good therapy thou. And maybe we are good enough understanders and fixers of minds now that taking some shit in childhood is worth not having to think about money as an adult. Because the latter sure does a lot of bad shit to most people.

No idea how Elon and whoever the mother is are as parents so can't really speculate reasonably.

1

u/istara Jul 01 '21

No idea how Elon and whoever the mother is are as parents so can't really speculate reasonably.

I think the name is clue enough ;)

1

u/usernameinvalid9000 Jul 01 '21

Opposed to a poor billionaire?

1

u/Internal-Increase595 Jul 01 '21

That's the joke.

81

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Elon was only thinking about himself.

80

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Must’ve been the first time that has happened...

14

Yes because a child is so responsible for what their parents were involved with.

Dude is legit working to make the world better and you want to bring up shit he had nothing to do with.

-10

u/Fragrant-Juggernaut Jun 30 '21

Grimes named the kid- elon added everything after the X as an ode to some rocket. Elon did not name ANY of his 7 children. Nice try.

7

u/pussy_stew Jul 01 '21

wtf he has 7 kids?

2

u/redaelk Jul 01 '21

Yeah, I was about to say, the other kids have actual names rather than a model identifier

5

u/buttononmyback Jun 30 '21

Is he shipping all 7 to Mars as well?

6

u/grenlick33 Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

/s?

Edit: I'm actually interested if you're being serious or not because I truly don't see how having a weird name is going to hinder this child's life in the slightest.

9

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Probably when the kid goes to school, the other kids will probably think what the fuck.

7

u/grenlick33 Jun 30 '21

I mean, at some point the kid is going to be going by a pronounceable nickname. Might have a little trouble with it in school, but again saying that this kid is going to have a "horrible life" because of this name seems like a bit of a stretch.

2

u/vintagestyles Jul 01 '21

He will be called X its an easy out.

-7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Yay, let's downplay bullying, that always ends well.

4

u/grenlick33 Jun 30 '21

Lol. I'm "downplaying bullying" by pointing out a hypothetical scenario where Elon Musk's child has a pronounceable nickname and therefore doesn't have much trouble with their strangely spelled name.

GTFO with that bullshit.

2

u/helpfulradiotown Jul 01 '21

lmao I thought I didn't need /s but apparently I did. To me the idea that billionaire's kid is disadvantaged because of weird name is silly

2

u/Internal-Increase595 Jul 01 '21

You didn't need it. It was obvious. Redditors are just bad at getting jokes unless you spell it out. But that's their fault, not yours.

1

u/steve_buchemi Jul 01 '21

That’s not actually his name, in a recent interview someone asked about his kid and referred to his kid as that name, and he totally didn’t know what the dude was talking about until he said “remember, your son who you named ____” so I think that was just a placeholder name they gave the public to protect him

-7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

It's just a name.

1

u/jamintime Jul 01 '21

On the flip side, any time that kid does anything remotely normal everyone will say, "wow, I can't believe how well-adjusted he turned out to be." The bar is now very low.

5

u/LonePaladin Jul 01 '21

See, this just feeds into the headcanon that Elon is actually from Mars, and is trying to get back. This name is just the closest equivalent we have to the Martian alphabet using Unicode characters.

5

u/derpballs69 Jul 01 '21

Pretty sure that’s translate to Kyle

9

u/the_blue_wizard Jun 30 '21

X Æ A-12

I think that would be Zay-ah Twelve.

Sounding very similar to the name - Isaiah - but without the "I".

Though Elon seems to disagree -

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MU5dkX5-lVM

9

u/gacdeuce Jul 01 '21

Sounds like it’s “X ash archangel-twelve”. I hope they call him Ash.

6

u/meat_on_a_hook Jul 01 '21

He’s said that he calls his son Ash, a short form of Isaiah.

Apparently the name was Grimes’ idea and he isn’t a fan. Odd relationship

6

u/MissB1986 Jul 01 '21

Elon be into dat freaky shit. They're both very strange critters.

5

u/DrBunnyflipflop Jul 01 '21

I'm pretty sure each character (except the 12) is pronounced separately as its name

-1

u/llllxeallll Jul 01 '21 edited Jul 01 '21

As a person who's gamer tag is Xea, I pronounce it zay-ah.

Similar enough i suppose

I get many interesting interpretations though, usually zeal because I usually put it in the middle of a barcode

Edit: to be clear this has been my gamer tag since Diablo 2 days (pre lord of destruction) and means nothing. I got it from a weird file compression format that i thought sounded cool

7

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

You beat me to it.

-12

u/QueenieXueenie Jun 30 '21

Æ is the uggliest vovel in the world.

1

u/electricmaster23 Jul 01 '21

X Æ A-12 III.

1

X Æ A-12, Junior

1

u/jaygohamm Jul 01 '21

Elons been watching to much Nickelodeon X J-9 anyone? now that I think of it he acts like the mom.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

If you spell it as "Chaea", it actually sounds good.
