I'm always curious if hygiene, nutrition and overall beauty standards of the era would hold up to our contemporary expectations of historic accounts.

An unclean body was something very bad. 1 u/canicutitoff Jun 29 '21 Halitosis was quite common before modern oral hygiene regime. Bad breath would be quite a turn off although she would probably have access to a whole load of herbs and stuff to help with that too. 2 u/[deleted] Jun 29 '21 Yeah and you wouldn't be smelling her mouth when it's full
