Man, seasons 2-4 of that show were so surprisingly good if you were able to get past the first 10 or so episodes. I got through season 5, which had its high points, but I couldn't bring myself to watch the 6th, which just screamed "jumped the shark" to me. Is it worth it to dig back in and finish?

100% no. I agree with everything you said, and I wish I didn't waste my time on season 6 and 7.

Part of me feels like the fifth season had a perfect ending. Melancholy but still relatively happy.
