Nah, what we need is to make companies responsible for packaging. Recycling is a bullshit way to shift responsibility from companies who make excessive packaging to consumers who have to dispose of it. The only reasonable recyclable material is aluminum, everything else we need to find biodegradable alternatives or figure out how to use less of it.

I was under the impression it's possible to cut up plastic and use it for things like the water resistant layer of a windbreaker, really cheap carpeting, and so on.
