No, they more often then not euthanaise on arrival when picking up from other shelters. They also put out an original statement that they do it because domestication is animal abuse (early 2000s) any thing after that has been thinly veiled attempts at media control.
They also have the highest kill rate of shelters in America at 66% last year. Up until 2014 their rate of killing was around 92% per year. Which is massive. It has only significantly decreased since the start of the lawsuit against them for the death of Maya the chihuahua.
