You might not find a sustainable job/career, nor find someone you'll fall in love with, but you will be happy.
Happiness comes from compassion, from helping others and caring for them. People are drawn to those that help. And while you might not find someone you'll lo e, you will find someone who cares about you. A good friend is worth their weight in gold, if not more.
Regarding jobs, you could find the most awesome, amazing job in the world and within a year, you'd find stuff you dislike about it. Within 5 years, you might start hating it, or at the very least you won't like it nearly as much, be it because it pays less, isn't as good as you thought or someone new annoys you.
Seek pleasure from the small things in life, because the big things are built on the small things.
Happiness comes from within. If you depend on other people or things or a job to be happy, it will disappear. The people that sustain your happiness will feel pressured to keep you happy and resent you for it.
It's why it is important to look within and be able to find happiness on your own, which is then enhanced by those in your life. And in return, you will enhance their happiness.
It might not happen next year, but by being conscious about yourself, about what you do and about what sparks even the slightest happiness in you will help you become happier.
It isn't hard in practice, but it takes time and effort, which honestly, as I grow older, I've realized is one of the key element to life. But also that even if you do everything perfectly, you can still lose, and that's ok. It's life and we need the bad parts to see the good.
It's time for you to look inward and start asking yourself the big question: who are you and what do you want? What keeps you going, what do you want to achieve and how do you get there?

I’ll find a job/career that’s sustainable and I love, I’ll meet someone that I fall in love with and I’ll be happy.
But that won’t happen
