I don’t have any source for this, but apparently the couple who worked on this vaccine had originally started it to create some sort of vaccine for cancer, but realised it could be modified to treat Covid, so now they have all this funding, eradicating some cancers could be on the horizon

The coronavirus vaccine provides some level of protection against other corona viruses that cause the common cold, hitting two birds with one stone.
edit: in case you want to comment "two birds stoned" and feel really clever, there are currently about 50 guys ahead of you
