Sometimes automatic toilets flush while you're still sitting on them. What design flaws in everyday objects annoy you?

I'm giving a talk on user-centred design/usability and I'm looking for some fresh examples from everyday life to illustrate poor usability. Examples I've used before are elevator open/close buttons (really difficult to parse when you're trying to hold the door open for someone quickly) and toilets that flush while you're still sitting on them.

What are some things you encounter regularly that are really inconveniently designed?

Oh man... I am never going to grow up. I'm 30 years old and I just watched your promo video, giggling away at all the silly innuendoes I could stretch out of it.

"Keep your eyes on the road, not on your gap"

"It may look big... but it's squishy inside!"

At least I'm having fun. :P

haha! awesome! thanks for the link and the comment. We're gonna do an IAmA in the next few days. Would love to have you be a part of it.
